For over three years since our studio opened, we've partnered with ClassPass to make our classes accessible to as many people as possible. We know ClassPass is a convenient option for many people to enjoy classes at multiple studios each month on a smaller scale, and we're a fan of anything that makes fitness easier to incorporate into your life!
On the business side, it's been a rocky journey as ClassPass regularly changes their business practices, pricing strategies, app language, policies and so on. We've tried to keep up and maintain accessible classes despite not having a lot of control or input.
At the start of the summer, we noticed a problem with ClassPass not showing available spots in many of our classes. After we brought this to their attention, they noticed this problem was happening with other studios too, and they have been unable to resolve it still to this day. So we've been left with a lot of uncertainty and inconsistency with our ClassPass community not being able to book into classes when they should have access.
We have also just been informed that we will no longer be able cap the credit rate for our classes as we want to, to ensure our clients are not charged too much for our classes. ClassPass's latest change is to have 'dynamic pricing' where they ultimately have total discretion over the cost of our classes and can charge more for some of our classes than it would cost you to purchase from us directly (8 credits/$18 for a rebound class when our monthly 4-pack only costs $15/class)
At this time, we want to make sure our clients know that if you try to book classes with us through ClassPass, you will unfortunately not have full access to our schedule due to the technical problems ClassPass is having. And the pricing you are offered by ClassPass will be erratic and sometimes more expensive than buying a package with us directly. We're so sorry we have no control over this.
We are deeply frustrated and disappointed that our ClassPass community has to experience these problems. For the time being, we'll maintain our partnership with ClassPass to keep that option open to those who want it. In the meantime, we want to make sure you know that the best way to access all classes on our schedule at consistently discounted prices is to book through us (packages). And in booking directly you can also access our waitlists, enjoy a shorter 6 hour cancellation windows, and no extra fees for late cancellations or no shows. Overall, it will save you money and help you enjoy more classes!
